Support options

There are many web based hosted support options you can use for your businesses so that you can more easily get information to your clients and allow them to do more of the work that your in-house or even outsourced staff might do if you did not have a robust support system.

Many times now you will go to a web site that is trying to sell you something and it does not matter what the deal is or what you might be buying many times these days when you hit that web site you will see a pop up window appear asking to see if you had any questions for the company whose site it is that you are visiting. This is an automatic chat window and on the other end of that chat window is some support person who is there to help guide the person who came to that site to the areas where they may want to be, or where the owner of that web site may want them to be in order to try to get the visitor to purchase something from the site, either a service or a product.

On some occasions you might be browsing the web site when the pop-up window appears and asks if you need any help or if you have any questions. Other times the pop-up window will be there right off the bat or within a few seconds of you reaching the site. There are two things which may have happened here. In the case of the popup occurring at the start of your visiting the site and that popup probably was auto generated and may or may not have a person who is in attendence at the time that the popup was generated and that person would passively wait for the visitor to enter their information and start a chat.

In the other instance there may be persons who are monitoring the web site that you are visiting and may ping you or force a chat with you dependent upon which pages of their site you are on. For instance in web site hosting you may be on a web hosting company’s web site and find yourself checking out the features of their web hosting plans and if there is a sales person watching where you are on the site and sees that you are on the features page they probably know that you are looking to buy and they can start a chat, force a chat really with you which you can or can not accept. Another scenario would be if you were browsing through the support center for a web site or on that site’s contact us page you might find that a support rep might ping you or force a chat on you to see if he can help direct you to where you need to be to get the information or support you need.
